Aviva recognises the importance of practices that contribute to Corporate responsibility and a sustainable earth.
For some years, interest in corporate environmental performance has broadened out to embrace areas such as community relations, business ethics and the environment.
Aviva has developed a corporate responsibility program that actively seeks to make a contribution in these areas.
Aviva believes that sound and demonstrable performance in relation to corporate responsibility (CR) policies and practices is a fundamental part of business success. The groupwide CR policy commits Aviva to managing our direct and indirect impacts on the societies in which we operate.
Aviva is also a signatory to the federal government's Greenhouse Challenge, a program that audits companies and recommends practices to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
